The year is quickly coming to an end, and that might leave you feeling a little frantic and unprepared.

The fact is, property managers are so busy. This is especially true coming off summer, when you probably had a hectic time with placing new tenants and bringing in new business.

We want to take a moment to tell you – you still have time. We’re in the final quarter of the year, so what should you be focusing on? At Landlord Source, we have some ideas that will help you end the year on a strong and positive note.

Review What’s Been Done and Where You Are

This is an excellent time to evaluate where you are with your property management company. Assess and review what you have done to date. Take a look at your goals. Decide what’s a top priority as we end the year. A few things you wanted to accomplish may still be out there. Focus your energy on one goal to wrap up and accomplish before the end of 2018.

Evaluate Taxes and Finances

This is also a good time to think about what you need to do for your business taxes. There may be additional expenses or things you can purchase to help you stay ahead of any tax liability you’re expecting.

Performance Reviews and Bonuses

If you give your employees performance-based or end-of-year bonuses, this is a great time to review your employee’s annual goals and decide what your bonus structure will look like. Discuss this with your employees so there are no surprises.

You still have time, so don’t panic. This is simply the time to reassess where you are and what you want to do. Then, you can focus on this last quarter.

If you have any questions, we’d be happy to help you get organized. Contact us at Landlord Source, and we’ll do what we can to help you finish this year on a high note.
